Bryane Fleming hails from the suspect era of Brooklyn past, a time less known to spread love. At his core he is a line artist, using pencil to create. At a young age, he was inclined to art as soon as he could pick up pencil. Each piece, whether stained glass, woodworks, or metal begins with line drawing. His influences range from graffiti artists to Egon Schiele, Milton Glaser, and Aubrey Beardsley.
Bryane studied at the former High School of Art & Design, continuing to cultivate his craft at Pratt, Fashion Institute of Technology, and the School of Visual Arts. He was introduced to stained glass by a teacher and Vietnam Veteran who used glass as therapy. This medium appealed to Bryane as a young child staring up at the windows at Calvary St. Cyprians Church. Bryane pushes the boundaries of stained glass by incorporating non-traditional elements and found materials. He wants those who see his art to simply think, to turn ideas over in their own mind and open an inner dialogue.
